Above and to the right of the three standing figures is an anomalous light (said to be shaped like a lotus petal). Sri Yantra
The Symbol of Global Peace and Harmony

by T.L. Subash Chandira Bose

The Sri Yantra or Sri Chakra is the queen of all Yantras. It is the symbolic representation and the two-dimensional view of the golden-coloured mystical mountain called Mahameru, which is said to be at the center of the universe, with nine settlements guarded by eight mountains.

The origin of Sri Yantra can be dated back to 2500-3000 B.C. It is a mystical symbol and remains a challenge to our modern scientific knowledge. This particular sacred symbol has undergone much intensive research globally for several hundred years. Scholars conclude that the invisible power of "the Queen of the entire universes" can be visualized from Sri Yantra only during the time of meditation.

Sri Yantra is created in an electromagnetic vibrating field, an experiment in the translation of sound into vision. Similar experiences are 'sensed' during ritual worship when the Yantra pattern 'dematerializes,' appearing to dissolve into a sound-pattern or vibration field of spoken mantras. (A still from a film by Ronald Nameth supports the above.)

The thought of creating the Sri Yantra was seeded in my heart during 1982 in Kenya (East Africa) by my brother Alex Oruko, who was my colleague while I was working in South Nyanza Sugar Company. It was further ignited by my brother Subrato Mukerjee, a well-known sugar mill consultant in India, and was kindled by my better-half, Mrs. Chandra Subash. During February, 2006 at the age of sixty, with the guidance of Dr. Kudaval Balasubramaniyan, the Epigrapher at Sarasvathi Mahal, Tanjore and with blessings of our spiritual brother Dr. Jaganathasamiji, I saw that the method of creating the Sri Yantra was blessed by the mother goddess Sri Lalaithambigai. This occurred after several tests of experiencing the positive energy in the material body and pleasant feeling to the soul. Honestly, she herself produces the Sri Yantra, and she used me as a tool.

All our contact with world outside is based on symbols. These symbols are mostly based on two types: the ear and the eye, though other senses also take part in them. As long as we are able to understand the meaning of the symbols, all the sacred information will remain as fresh as before. But when the symbols lose their freshness, or the inherent potential or meaning is forgotten, they become ordinary expressions. I would like to emphasize that we all think in symbols, act in symbols, live in symbols, and learn in symbols.

Sri Yantra is the symbol of global peace and harmony and the sign of expressing the invisible by means of visible or sensuous representations. This guides us both to know the truth of divine love and to remain in unity among our various diversities. Let us leave our various diversities behind and take refuge in the Universal Mother, who is with the beauty of the three worlds, who appeared, is appearing, and continues to appear in different forms and names such as Maya, Mari, Mara, Mary, Maria, etc.

Your brother, the humble servant to all our sisters and brothers, hereby submits the sacred and secret method of producing the Sri Yantra to the holy feet mother goddess Sri Lalaithambigai, temple at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. We are all from the ONE and let us return to the ONE, through Sri Vidya path.
OM Peace, Peace and Peace
